Thermal Barrel Brush

Postby petestan on Sat Feb 13, 2010 11:36 pm

Just a quick message to let distributors know that the thermal barrel brush that is out of stock until the end of march there is a seller on ebay priced below what we sell them for including postage. Saves your customers having to wait over a month, I bought 2 and they look virtually identical except they don't come in a plastic bag but they do have a tag on them so the customer knows it's new. :D

Personally my thinking is if kleeneze can't get their act together with regards to stock levels then if I can get it elsewhere I will rather than have my customer wait over a month for something to come back in, if it's only a week or two I will wait but not if it's longer and I can find them elsewhere. Yes they are usually happy to wait but I don't like them having to do so, Pete.

PS Just need to find somewhere that sells the heart boot stands and long handled shoe horn now.
Shoe horn is middle of April that's ridiculous but if you complain you just get the standard reply 99% of items are in stock. :(

Totally agree that long delays are a pain.

I am in two minds on this.

However, I do agree that keeping customers waiting is just not on.

We operate like a franchise, and they are our customers, not KL's.
It is therefore up to us on how we stock ourselvies......

Ideally that will be done by KL. however, when they can not supply us, we should therefore be able to seek alternative suppliers.

On the other hand.....

What happens if the goods you get are not up to standard, and customers don't like the quality etc ?
What do you do if you have returns with these goods?
And do you end up having to muck around finding loads of stuff, and waisting time doing so?

However, thanks for the info about another supplier lol.

That is true it can happen, I got some dyson vac filters for a customer off ebay as they were no longer available and the next time round she sent them back as they didn't fit her vac. so I lost out but as they were only a couple of quid I don't mind. I suppose I could try and resell them on ebay but I can't be bothered (chances are one of my customers will ask me if i can get them at some time in the future). I also got a magic ice crystal deodrant as again they were sold out but I didn't read the small print and it was half the size of the kleeneze one. So yes I have lost out occasionally but most of the time the customer is happy to get the item and I usually only buy them if they are new and the same as the kleeneze ones I don't bother if they are a different manufacturer.
As I say I only usually look for alternative suppliers if the item is going to be more than 2 weeks and to be honest I generally only check ebay or google and a certain local shop (the original factory shop) that I know sells some of the same stuff as Kleeneze but cheaper, I haven't got the time and can't be bothered to spend hours searching all the local shops, there is no guarantee I will find the items anyway, a lot of the time I don't, Pete. :D
